Junior Summer Day Camp is being held UPSTAIRS at the New Minas Civic Centre, for the entire session.
Pre-School Summer Day Camp is being held DOWNSTAIRS at the New Minas Civic Centre, for the entire session.
Habitat for Humanity is a community-based, non-profit organization working for a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live. Habitat builds and rehabilitates simple, decent houses with the help of local volunteers and partner families. These houses are then sold to the partner family at no profit, and financed with affordable, no-interest mortgages.
Habitat for Humanity HRM / Annapolis Valley is looking for families that need affordable housing, with the ability to repay a no-interest mortgage and a willingness to partner with them. If you or someone you know fit this criteria please check their website (www.habitatav.com) for more information or to register as a volunteer. You can also pick up an application form in the New Minas office.
2010 CO-ED SUMMER FOOTBALL CAMP
AGE 9-13 (MUST BE 9/NOT BE OLDER THAN 13 ON OCTOBER 1, 2010)
WHERE: BULLDOG FIELD, CANNING NS (BESIDE GLOOSCAP ELEMENTARY SCHOOL)
WHEN: JUNE 26TH & 27TH FROM 9 TO 11 AM
AND
JULY 3RD & 4TH FROM 9 TO 11 AM
Cost: $35 for new players OR $30 for players who played with the Bulldogs in 2009
All proceeds will go towards buying new gear for the upcoming season.

New minas Fire Department
Now Recruiting Firefighters
Due to the rapid growth now taking place in New Minas, more volunteers are required to provide the emergency requirements for residents and businesses in the New Minas Fire Department fire district.
Being a member of this fire department will bring you personal
rewards and satisfaction, raise self-esteem, and provide you
with a tremendous sense of accomplishment and pride for a job
well done. It will provide your community with a needed
service that has the potential to touch us all. The services
provided by our volunteers is truly valuable to the citizens and
businesses we serve.
We also offer to you a small honorarium, free vehicle license plates, and a $500.00 provincial income tax rebate.
If interested you may contact any New Minas firefighter or come into the fire hall and pick up an Application and a "Prospects Guide to Joining".
If you become one of us, you'll share challenges, camaraderie, and when we're successful, a sense of accomplishment second to none.
