Nicole Pyke to Represent New Minas as Princess
The Village of New Minas kicked off the Apple Blossom Festival with the selection of Nicole Pyke as their Princess at the Annual New Minas Princess Tea held at the New Minas Volunteer Fire Hall Tuesday, April 28, 2009.
Nicole is the proud daughter of Brenda & Gerald Pyke, 1025 Maple Drive, New Minas.
Nicole Marie Pyke was born and raised in New Minas. Nicole has been living in New Minas for 19 years with her parents along with her two brothers Jason & Bradley Pyke.
Nicole graduated with her bilingual certificate along with Honours from Horton High School where she participated in cheerleading for 4 years and is now the assistant coach while competing on the Acadia Cheerleading Team.
She is attending Acadia University majoring in Sociology then continuing with her Education Degree.
Nicole loves working with children so an Elementary School Teacher would be the perfect match!
Nicole has been volunteering for the Red Cross and the Canadian Diabetes Association for the past 5 years.
Nicole has obtained both her level C CPR and level C first aid and St. Johns Ambulance.
Nicole has many hobbies some of them include four wheeling, reading and watching the food network that inspires her to cook.
Grace MacEwan is the Child Attendant.
Grace is the daughter of proud parents Kim & Tom MacEwan of 1043 Turner Drive, New Minas.
The Village of New Minas congratulates Nicole & Grace on their selection and looks forward to having them represent the Village in the many special events planned over the course of the next year.
