2013 Princess New Minas: miCHELLE "mICHA" sAADE
Michelle “Micha” Saade, is the 22 year old daughter of Pierre and Katia Saade.
Michelle is completing her fourth year at St. Francis Xavier University in a BA Human Kinetics. During her time at St.FX, Michelle was honored to receive the PHE Canada award for exemplary leadership in the field of health, physical education, recreation and dance, was a member of the St.FX University Senate and enjoyed her position on the Xaverian newspaper, as the sports and health editor. She enjoys spreading awareness of the importance of healthy living and the need of finding a balance for a positive well-being. Michelle will be continuing her education next year, by completing a BA Psychology with a minor in Religious Studies.
2013 Child Attendant: Sophie Bezanson
Sophie Bezanson is the daughter of Mike Bezanson and Chantal Desrochers and is a Grade 4 French Immersion student at New Minas Elementary School. She is involved in many extracurricular activities such as the school choir and the Spelling Bee. She enjoys entertaining her family and friends by playing the piano, singing, and Highland Dancing. Sophie likes to be active by swimming, skating, snowshoeing, and cross-country running. Sophie is actively involved with the Girl Guides of Canada and her church. In her spare time, Sophie loves reading, drawing, writing poetry, and spending time with her family and friends.
