While in New Minas stop at The Evangeline Trail Welcome Centre to receive information on the trail or assistance in making reservations for accommodations and dining. Lockhart & Ryan Memorial Park, located at the north-east end of the village, is a 45 acre community park hosting 2 ball fields, 2 tennis courts, soccer fields, picnic area, recreation office, trails and playground. The village invites you to come and enjoy their park.

Celebration Days takes place August 10 - 12, 2007. New Minas invites all visitors to come and participate in our annual event. This festival includes a wide variety of activities including musical entertainment, magic shows, clowns, giant car show, street dance, fireworks display and much more to entertain all.

In conjunction with Celebration Days, New Minas hosts the Atlantic Provinces' largest Soccer Tournament. Over 160 soccer teams participate in this annual event.
