The Water Commission invites applications from citizens of New Minas to fill one (1) vacancy on the New Minas Water Commission:

Interested persons must submit a letter of application prior to May 28th stating qualifications and reasons for serving.

Village of New Minas / National Volunteer Week: Apr. 27 to May 3/08

Congratulations to Leslie Sequeira, from the Village of New Minas (New Minas Volunteer of the Year 2008), named Live at 5 Maritimer of the Week on Friday, April 25th.

The award was presented to Leslie on Friday, April 25th by ATV’s Paul Hollingsworth at Lockhart & Ryan Memorial Park.

On behalf of the Village of New Minas Commission, Recreation Advisory Committee and the staff, we extend a heartfelt thank you to Leslie and all all the volunteers that give their time and talents to others so generously. Your kindness and commitment is an inspiration to all us.
